“Cornelius is a great fit for our company,” said Tetsuya Kuze, vice president of Yokohama Corporation of North Carolina. “The proximity to the airport and the skilled workforce is going to make this facility very successful.”
“Mecklenburg County is pleased to partner with the Town of Cornelius to bring new commercial investment and jobs to the Lake Norman area. This addition of advanced technical and engineering jobs is a great example of the diverse economic base of the County and the workforce available in all parts of the County,” said Peter Zeiler, Director of Mecklenburg County’s Office of Economic Development.
“Yokohama’s planned expansion in Cornelius is a great win for our community. This is an excellent example of how the Town has worked to add additional tax base and high-quality jobs” said Mayor Woody Washam.
“This facility will be an excellent fit for Cornelius and the Lake Norman area. We have a
strong and growing International business presence in our community,” said Ryan
McDaniels, Executive Director of Lake Norman Economic Development.
Key partners in this project include the North Carolina Community College System, the
