Trinity Capital Advisors is an acquisition and development commercial real-estate firm. The firm and its Director of Development, Sherrie Chaffin, has invested in Lake Norman Economic Development for nearly five years.
The focus of Trinity Capital Advisors is to acquire or develop office and industrial buildings along the Southeast. Falling in that territory is the North Mecklenburg market, which correlates nicely with the ultimate mission of Lake Norman Economic Development – to help bring business into the towns of Cornelius, Davidson and Huntersville.
Since being involved with Lake Norman Economic Development, Chaffin feels she can tune in to what is happening in the North Mecklenburg market and positively impact the projects that her team at Trinity Capital Advisors are working towards.
“I think the professional benefit to been involved in the EDC has been an increase in awareness of what is going on in the northern market,” said Chaffin. “As a company, we have not been incredibly active in the Lake Norman region, so having the insight from the EDC, really gives me a greater appreciation for the potential of this market.”
Chaffin, a resident of Davidson, also talks about the personal benefits of being involved in the local economic development corporation.
“The awareness that I receive isn’t just helpful from a professional side but a personal side as well,” said Chaffin. “To have more of a front row seat to what is happening in my community verses just reading headlines – I think personally that is very beneficial and ultimately helps my environment and the people in my community.”
As the Lake Norman region continues to grow, Trinity Capital Advisors will be able to take the insight Chaffin is gaining and respond. By having a better understanding of the need in the North Mecklenburg market and land that’s available – the firm can fully utilize its investment in Lake Norman Economic Development.
“As Trinity Capital Advisors becomes more active in the North Mecklenburg market, I know that our relationship with Lake Norman Economic Development will continue to grow,” said Chaffin. “Serving on the EDC board has really given me a seat at the table to make a difference in my local community. This is where I live and play with my family and I want to continue to see positive economic growth.”
