Davidson College opens Hurt Hub to promote innovation and entrepreneurship

The college, which doesn’t have a traditional business school or graduate programs, conceived an entrepreneurship incubator in 2014 when the family that owned the historic Davidson Cotton Mill, located just off campus, offered to sell the industrial complex for $730,000. School officials transformed the 23,000-square-foot space into the Jay Hurt Hub for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, named after a $5 million donor, Jay Hurt, an ’88 Davidson alumnus and CEO of The Hurt Co., a Houston-based lubricant and fuel distributor acquired by RelaDyne in 2010.

Big Beverages Contract Manufacturing announces the opening of its Beverage Co-Packing Facility

Big Beverage Contract Manufacturing (BBCM), announced the opening of its beverage co-packing facility in Huntersville, N.C. BBCM plans to be fully operational in late Spring 2020 and will occupy the 170,000 square foot facility owned by Scannell Properties located in The Park-Huntersville.

BIT Acquisitions, LLC, a local development group, held their official groundbreaking ceremony today at Ramah Executive Park located at Ramah Church Road and Seagle Drive in Huntersville, North Carolina.

Ramah Executive Park will offer Lake Norman and its surrounding areas, business office spaces and flex warehouse suites.
